Hey everyone --

In last night's first meeting for the business design competition, I mentioned that I'd provide a powerpoint template to those who want to make pitches on their ideas. I got a lot of emails from people, so I thought I'd just mail the template to the BDC list so everyone has it. It is attached to this email.

You don't have to use powerpoint -- you can use Pages on the Mac or anything else. However, you will be using my laptop to present, not yours. You will send me your presentation over email, we'll review together, and then you will present using my laptop.

You don't have to pitch an idea. The goal is to recruit others to join their teams, and to get feedback. If you don't want or need that, it's fine by me. It has no effect on your eligibility in the competition.

There is no deadline to pitch. However, the sooner you do so, the quicker you get your team together. The best candidates will likely join teams sooner. (It's kinda like the prom: don't wait till the night of the dance to ask someone to go.)

Remember, do not ask me if I think your idea is a good one. Any idea is a good one if you get the right team and execute well.

Don't forget to query the c4e website: http://c4e.ucsc.edu
