[santacruzgalaxy-list] Concluding the 2nd Workshop, and Moving to the Next Phase

Dear Colleagues,

The 2nd Workshop of the AGORA High-resolution Galaxy Simulations Comparison Project at UC Santa Cruz (Aug. 16-18) was a great success with over 40 participants participating onsite and online.  We had a very fruitful time to discuss how to propel the Project to the next phase.  We now ask you to please fulfill the following action items.

ACTION ITEMS:

1.  Please read the following page carefully which summarizes the consensus made during the Workshop.  We thank all the people, especially the leaders of Working Groups and breakout sessions, who have contributed to this summary.

2.  *In particular*, we encourage you take a look at the plans of the WG I (implementing the common physics package; led by Madau) and WGs II+V (calibrating SF/Fbck prescriptions across codes; led by Agertz, Teyssier, Wadsley).  Please also learn about the future timelines for Paper "2" (led by Hahn) and Paper "3" (led by Gnedin).  If you wanted to contribute to one of these efforts but have not had a chance to discuss your role, now is likely the last opportunity to talk to the respective leaders.
