Dear All,

This is to advertise that the group discussion on the Rockstar halo finder in the AGORA Project will be held via SeeVogh on May 9 (Thu, 9am PDT/6pm CEST). Though the discussion may be mostly led by participants of the Working Groups I and IV, any interested collaboration members are cordially invited. We will discuss:

1. Status and effectiveness of the newest Rockstar version (rockstar-galaxies) to identify peaks within multiple-mass particles "zoom-in" simulations such as AGORA
2. Inclusion of such new version into yt, the common analysis platform for AGORA

You can find the SeeVogh booking information at the bottom of this message. Please send any comment or question to santacruzgalaxy at gmail.com. Thank you for your attention, and we hope to see you online!

Sincerely,
Joel Primack and Piero Madau on behalf of the AGORA Steering Committee

SeeVogh is a multi-user video chat (research.seevogh.com), a successor of EVO. We recommend the participants to register ahead of time and see if the program runs well using the TEST channel. While participants may call in using the international numbers below, we strongly encourage you to connect via SeeVogh with a fast connection. In particular we have had poor experiences trying to connect via Skype, so it should be discouraged.

To launch SeeVogh, you may have to follow these directions on your web browser with the up-to-date java installation.
http://research.seevogh.com/check.html (contact srnsupport at seevogh.com if you run into problems)

You may then use your username and password from the EVO era (SeeVogh's predecessor) to start the SeeVogh meeting room. You can also create a new username at this step. The SeeVogh HiPACC community authorization key is: thistle2013. This key will be needed to select your community.

Anybody in the collaboration can make a reservation for an AGORA-related teleconference. For example, working group leaders are encouraged to use this feature. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support from the UC-HiPACC for SeeVogh subscription.
