Dear AGORA Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Workshop of the AGORA Project will be held 15-18 August 2014 at UC Santa Cruz. This workshop is sponsored by the University of California High-Performance AstroComputing Center (UC-HiPACC).

------------------------------------------------------
OVERVIEW:

Since the first meeting in 2012 the AGORA High-resolution Galaxy Simulations Comparison Project has grown to an inter-institutional effort with 108 participants from 53 institutions worldwide. This year we once again bring together the experts in the field to a 3(4)-day workshop. While its program has not been finalized, we intend to make this year's workshop exclusively focused on working sessions of Papers "2", "3" and "4" to push these papers out by the end of this year.

- more information about the workshop agenda: sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/workshops/3rd-workshop
- more information about the planned papers and working groups: sites.google.com/site/projectagoraworkspace (membership required)

We highly encourage the participants of these papers and those who are willing to lend their hands in these efforts to come to the workshop. UC-HiPACC may provide travel support for a limited number of key participants who need it. If you wish to be considered for funding for your travel, please send an email to santacruzgalaxy(at)gmail(dot)com with details including expected costs and your other sources of funding.

------------------------------------------------------
REGISTRATION:

Please fill out the form (sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/reg) by July 5th if you are interested in attending the Workshop, either on-site or online. Please do so even if you have already signed up for the Santa Cruz Galaxy Workshop, 11-15 August 2014 (hipacc.ucsc.edu/GalaxyWorkshop2014.html). On Friday 15, the Galaxy Workshop and the AGORA Workshop will hold joint sessions.
