[santacruzgalaxy-list] AGORA Isolated Disk Comparison Test -- Draft Ready for Submission

Dear Colleagues,

First of all, thank you very much as always for your contribution and interest in the AGORA Project.  As you all are aware, over the past years many of us have been working to compare full high-resolution gravito-hydrodynamics simulations of an isolated disk galaxy across different numerical platforms.  And now, after a great amount of work by many, the AGORA Disk Comparison Group — formerly known as Paper Group 4 — is pleased to announce that the second report of the AGORA Collaboration is ready for submission.

We thank all the passionate participants in this endeavor including, in particular, the code leaders who led the effort within each code group to execute and analyze simulations:  Butler, Ceverino, Choi, Feldmann, Keller, Lupi, Quinn/Wallace, Revaz, and Teyssier.  We also thank those who implemented the Grackle interface with each code, and those who provided inputs on the early version of the paper during and after this year's Workshop at UCSC.  Lastly we thank the members of the core writers group and the AGORA Steering Committee for carefully reviewing the manuscript.

We would be happy to hear your last-minute comment and feedback by Oct. 5 (Wed, PDT) although major changes to the manuscript may not be expected at this point.  We plan to submit the paper to ApJ afterwards, as agreed during the Workshop.  We thank you in advance for your valuable insights.
