This is to kindly remind you that the AGORA Workshop registration will be closed on July 7 (Fri).  Please fill out the form at sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/reg<http://sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/reg> if you plan to attend the Workshop in person or online, and even if you already signed up for the Galaxy Workshop.  See the message below for details.  Registered attendees will receive a separate notice about how to pay the registration fee later.

FYI, the two science-oriented Paper Groups we will launch this summer (“CGM” and “Clumps”) are holding Group-level telecons.  You can find the ongoing discussions in the latest AGORA progress report: https://sites.google.com/site/projectagoraworkspace/collaborative-documents/progress-report-13.  If you’d like to join the conversation (e.g., “CGM” Group telecon on July 6) and contribute to these efforts, please let me know ASAP.

We are delighted to announce that the 6th AGORA Workshop will be held Aug. 11-13, 2017 at UC Santa Cruz.

OVERVIEW:

While the program is still open for your suggestion, we plan to design this year's Workshop to launch 2 science-oriented comparison.  It will also include a Collaboration-wide brainstorming session, and updates from other sub-projects.

REGISTRATION:

Please fill out the registration form by July 7 (sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/reg<http://sites.google.com/site/santacruzcomparisonproject/reg>) if you wish to attend the Workshop, in person or online.  Please do so even if you have already signed up for the annual Santa Cruz Galaxy Workshop, 7-11 August (hipacc.ucsc.edu/GalaxyWorkshop2017.html<http://hipacc.ucsc.edu/GalaxyWorkshop2017.html>), so we can have an accurate head count for planning.  On Friday 11, the Galaxy Workshop and the AGORA Workshop will hold joint sessions on high-resolution galaxy simulations.

There will be a $50 registration fee to cover weekend breakfasts, lunches, and the dinner on Aug. 12 (Sat).  Registered attendees will receive a separate notice about how to pay the registration fee later.
