Dear AGORA colleague,

I’m Hyeonyong Kim, a Ph.D student working with Ji-hoon Kim at Seoul
National University. With the help and guidance of the AGORA collaboration,
I have led the 10th AGORA paper, "High-z Run", and now I'm pleased to
announce that the AGORA Paper X "High-z Run" is almost ready for submission
to ApJ. Building upon the methodology and subgrid physics calibrated in the
“CosmoRun" project (z=4), "AGORA High-z Run" aims to examine whether the
physical models that successfully reproduce low-redshift galaxies across
different codes can also explain the bright galaxy populations recently
observed by JWST (z>10). In this paper, we demonstrate that even a
“vanilla” galaxy formation model can reasonably reproduce the stellar mass,
metallicity, and UV luminosity of JWST observations at z < 12, although
discrepancies remain at the most extreme redshifts (z ~ 14). We also would
like to share that, taking this as a foundation, we plan to carry out an
AGORA High-res High-z Run to explore high-redshift galaxy formation with
improved resolution and more refined subgrid physics.

This version incorporates valuable feedback from code leaders and
collaborators and may undergo minor revisions before submission, following
additional comments from co-authors and members of the Steering Committee.
During this “beta release” phase, we would greatly appreciate any final
comments or suggestions by* Nov 5 (Wed)*. While major revisions are not
expected at this stage, as the draft has already circulated among
increasingly broader audiences in the past few weeks/months, we still
welcome your insights. Please feel free to share your thoughts directly
with any of the corresponding authors. We sincerely thank you in advance
for your time and valuable feedback.

].

Once again, thank you very much for your continuous effort in the AGORA
collaboration!

Sincerely,
Hyeonyong, Ji-hoon, Minyong, and Santi, on behalf of the co-authors of
AGORA Paper X
