[santacruzgalaxy-list] Concluding the 1st Workshop, and Launching the Project

Dear Project Participants,

Thank you for your participation in the Santa Cruz High-resolution Galaxy Simulation Comparison Project.  During its Starting Workshop over 40 participants representing seven different astrophysics codes launched one of the largest comparison projects yet.  We had a truly exciting time to discuss what needs to be done to move the field of numerical galaxy formation forward.  We now ask you to please fulfill the following action items.

ACTION ITEMS:

1.  Read the following webpage *carefully*, which summarizes the consensus made during the workshop and explains the working groups formed.  We thank all the people who have contributed to this summary.

2.  Sign up in the working group that interests you.  The sign-up form can be found at the bottom of the linked webpage.  (Deadline Sep.12)

As soon as the project has a proper name and Google IDs from collaboration members are collected, the project website will be relaunched with a new name and a newly-designed workspace.  Please forward this message to your colleagues and anyone potentially interested as we always welcome more participation.
