Dear AGORA Workshop Participants,

Thank you very much for signing up for the 2nd Workshop for the AGORA High-resolution Galaxy Simulations Comparison Project (Aug.16-18, 2013).

Galaxy Workshop participants:  A tentative program of the Galaxy Workshop (Aug.12-16) including the Friday joint sessions with the AGORA Workshop is also online.

Working Groups V-XIII leaders:  If you have agreed to give a talk and lead one of the breakout sessions on Saturday or Sunday (Aug.17-18), please check the latest schedule.  You may use your ~10 minute-talk to describe main scientific questions your group plans to tackle, showcase the plans for simulations, and recruit people from more code groups.  You can use the following breakout session to coordinate future simulations, and even start one.

REMOTE PARTICIPATION :

We plan to broadcast Saturday and Sunday sessions via SeeVogh.  Attached below is the detailed booking information; we highly recommend remote participants to see if SeeVogh runs well ahead of time.  In addition, if you are interested in giving a remote talk on Saturday, please let me know.  We will also arrange remote meeting rooms for each of the 6 breakout discussion sessions *depending* on participants' interest.  Please check the schedule and let me know if you would like to participate remotely in any of the breakout sessions.

MEALS, etc. :

If you are arriving on Friday only for the AGORA Workshop, your Friday lunch will be covered by UC-HiPACC.  We also thank the financial support of UC-HiPACC for breakfasts, lunches, and afternoon coffees on Saturday and Sunday.  Parking in the Core West Parking Structure is free on weekends.  If you have any question or concern, please feel free to contact us.
